A suggestion for those who like and can stay in one of the best hotels in the city is staying at the Intercontinental Amstel Amsterdam hotel which is the image of the post. This is where the personalities and stars usually stay when it comes to Amsterdam. The beautiful hotel also has a restaurant two stars in Michelin. A great choice for those looking to stay in Amsterdam.
For those who like the chain hotels like the Ibis, the best location is due to the Ibis Amsterdam Centre which is almost within the central station. Look for the Ibis Amsterdam Centre in this site
A good option is very simple but very good location is the Hotel Van Onna . The price is reasonable (90 euros / double) and has a 2 or 3 Brazilian officials at the hotel. The only thing is that it tends to be crowded, so I suggest you book in advance.
For people who like hostel / hostel suggestion is the Stayokay Vondelpark . It is clean, safe, organized and stands in front of a beautiful park, the Vondelpark, and also close to museums and Leidsenplein.
Do not go traveling in travel insurance. Avoid headaches on your holiday. Do your clicking here!

I also recomedaram Hotel Van Onna, but I was not for lack of space: 0).
I saw there a hostel close to the New Market, I found the location good, but do not know if it is legal to stay.

Too bad, could be another option ... as I recall, but changed the site. To put an option to check availability online (which does not work, hehehe). The hotel is a bargain even if, thanks for the tip.
Hug.
I've been to 2 x Amterdam.
I stayed at Hostel Vondelpark very good.
I want to stay in the Leidseplein neighborhood, any tips for hotel at a cost of up to a couple 120/150EU?
Another question, anyone throughout the Netherlands to give tips, etc..
Do you know if marijuana is only released in Amsterdam or the interior there are many other locations?
Abs
Hi Anonymous!
You may find it released with marijuana coffeeshops throughout the Netherlands.
The Leidseplein is a square, the above is good (the Hotel Van Onna) and you can go walking in the street ballad.
You can say what they want to know the Netherlands I see if I can answer you.

For those who like hostel, I recommend the Flying Pig!
Price quiet, very relaxing but also well organized ...
You can smoke pot in the lounge, but never in the rooms ...
And the good of Amsterdam.

I would like to spend some days in Amsterdam, can I work in exchange for hosting ..? reply me if possible and give me a hint .. I am a professor of Portuguese

I stayed two nights and one day at Ibis prox central station (this was in Nov/06). I found a great quality and location, even more 'cause I got in town around midnight, and qd I left out of the hotel at about 5am and it's super safe region.
The research I did and my boyfriend gave almost the same value between the hostel and the network Novotel hotels (Ibis, Mercury, Novotel, etc).
It's good to have a good researched, cause the value changes greatly, especially depending on location.
Oh, if you're in for KLM and Blue Fly gives Member miles to catch the network of hotels.
Good morning ...
I'm going to Amsterdam alone just to meet the Park Tulip. I have two hosting options I researched the internet. Could you give me an opinion on this, especially regarding the location and security? The hotels are Hotel Alexander (www.hotelalexander.nl and is in Vondelstraat 44-46) and Hotel D'Amsterdam (which is in www.hoteldamsterdan.com Tweede Helmersstraat 4). This struck me as second best, and has bathroom in all rooms. Prices of both are similar.
Thank you in advance for any information that will help me decide.
Thank you
Writer of Minas Gerais.
Writer of Mines, okay?
The Alexander Hotel is very well located, near the Leidseplein which is where the restaurants are the points of Tram. Near the square of the museums. The place is very good.
I did not find the site of another hotel who asked.
A hug!
Writer of Mines, and td?! Tb'm going w / the Netherlands. Qd want to go? Have researched many places to stay ... qq thing keeps e-mail or msn to step more information!

Complementing the previous question, what is the best option to go from London to Amsterdam?
I saw that plane is cheaper, easyjet, but if you have not seen as going by train or the airfare.
Thank you,
Raimundo.
Raimundo,
You can train yes, but it sure is more expensive than this pile of offering Cias Low Coast will find that in England.
Train would have to pay more than a train ticket to arrive in Amsterdam.

Hi Marcio! I decided last minute to go to Amsterdam, I decided last Friday and arrive next Thursday 01/05. I'm only 04 nights, but I'm looking for hotels and is difficult to find availability in the most economical and average prices ... For I researched on his blog on 30/04 and 05/05 are holidays, and I believe I should be too difficult to get something. The worst is that I work with tourism, and even then I'm getting something (not very expensive and well located) ... If you have any alternative you know, give me a ring.
Andrea
Andrea,
This holiday that fills the city. In this case I think the solution will be getting a little farther from the center and use public transport.
Try the Ibis rasoável that has a value and you know what you find.
Abs! and good luck!
Hi Marcio!
I thought so even refernte the holiday, but unfortunately until the Ibis is crowded like most. I'll have to stay far from the very center.
Could you direct me to nearby cities, or some hint of its interesting to do in 04 days?
Thankfully
Andrea
Hello! After 03 nights in a row trying to hunt down some cheap hotel and center ... I just get lucky and got the Ibis Amsterdam City Stopera in Valkenburgerstraat 68 and looks pretty central, for 04 nights with breakfast in double, with total fees of almost $ 700.00 USD . Not as cheap as you like, but practically half of what I was getting these days .... Phew! You know this hotel? Hugs.
I know yes.
If this should be achieved in himself.
The city is best Ibis which is next to the central station, but this gives tbm to get things going and if necessary use the subway is nearby.
A hug!
Hello Marcio!
Congratulations on the blog, loved it. I always just pass by here when I travel somewhere, because their tips are always very good. Hj I decided to go to Amsterdam next weekend, and am not finding hotel in amsterdam, so would like some hint of a nearby town that might be interesting.
Thank you
Tatiane,
Take a look at Harleem, a small town at 15 minutes from Amsterdam.
But there I never got into a hotel, do not know will show you.

Marcio, I was lucky! Earlier today the site of the Accor Ibis offered places in the center near the station and cheaper than was achieved in another Ibis, tb is not so bad, but changed course reserves ... and now I'm much happier! Bjs qdo back and I'll post some tips for you guys and ...
And qto Tatiana from above, seems to be struggling for the same period, and I insist on it ... enter the site accor that one of the two central Ibis she sure can! Bjs
Hello Marcio! Earlier today I was lucky! I entered the site and got vague pro Accor Ibis most central station and priced even better than it had achieved in the other ... Now I'm happy! Qdo. I'll post back here and tips for you guys ... and thanks for the tips Bjs and aid ...

Hello Marcio,
Congratulations by blog.
You know the Hotel Brouwer? It is the same price and seem to be as cool as Van Onna, just that apparently is more central (Singel 83) am I right?
Marcelo,
I've never been there! but the location is great.
I lived in 91 of the Singel

Hi Marcio,
You know the ACH Rembrandt Square Hotel Amsterdam?
I am in doubt which is the best place to stay for. Near the central station or liedseplein? I enjoy both the day and night.

The address of this hotel is Tesselschadestraat 23, 1054 ET Amsterdam.
Another question: I read somewhere that from July 1 will no longer be allowed to smoke in public places, only in coffee shops. Is that right? The hotels will no longer have smoking rooms? Or that it was rare?
Hi, I'm going to Amsterdam in September, would like to know tips for a cheap hotel, I've been told to stay close to Dam square is the best option. Where would be safer?
Marcio,
I'm going to Amsterdam in July/08. Hotel was very difficult to get for that period. But I got a distant center, ETAP.Vou with family and car.
Can you tell me if you have easy parking and if possible cheap or free in the center? It is the 1st time I go to Holland.
A hug,
Suzi
Suzi,
The parking is very expensive in the center and is difficult to find places that are provided with free away from the center. See if the Etap has no parking and public transport use.
Abs!
Thanks Marcio,
Is it better to use public transport.
I love your blog.

Thanks the tip of the Hotel Van Onna. I was there 22-25 June. I managed to book in Brazil. It's very simple but honesto.Vc sleeps, has a private bathroom and breakfast manhã.Com your bank card, and out anytime you want and with whomever you choose. It's worth!

Marcio, I'm going to Amsterdam on 05 December and will stay in the tulip inn amsterdam art. Do you know?? Have references? I am finding it so difficult to script amsterdam ... You have to know any tips? Thank you!
Hi Ana Carolina,
I know the hotel network in Tulip, is highly regarded. The hotels are good.
Now, I took a look at the location of this hotel now and is well off center.
For all that is to depend on transportation.
As for the script makes it easy to get the map and begin the Central Station.
Go down the canals and a knowing one. Use the Dam as the center of hiking. Leaving the Dam you go to the Red Light, when Jordam, the square of the museums. You can do all this on foot or by bike.
I think it is, great trip and if you need, just ask here!
Abs!
Hello Marcio! Thanks for the tip! I think I can rent a bike and I just move it? since my hotel is not right in the center ... Yeah worth! His blog is a cheap, got plenty of tips! If you can, tell me about a good restaurant that is not outrageously expensive, because I'm also having trouble it! At most, only anxiety even! Hug!
Hello Marcio!
I'm going to amsterdam between 15 and 19 January 2009. I am researching hotels, but I'm in doubt between staying in amstel 144, which fioca and central or a hotel near the Vondelpark. Hi Martha Vondelpark is very central and well located. Stay right there.
The bike is still great means of transportation in winter. If encapote all and go for it!

In my blog has an article with an analysis of a good choice of cheap hotels in Amsterdam http://reservahoteisbaratos.blogspot.com/2009/06/hoteis-baratos-em-amsterdao.html
Hi Marcio,
I am planning a trip with my husband in October. We begin by Amsterdam. Would you like a hint of well-located hotel and good price (3/4 stars). We plan to rent bikes and tour the city.
Thank you,
Ana
Hi Ana,
See the Golden Tulip center http://www.goldentulipamsterdamcentre.com/?Language=EN
Or the NH Dam is a little more expensive, but the line is Collection. It may interest
http://www.nh-hotels.com/nh/en/hotels/the-netherlands/amsterdam/nh-grand-hotel-krasnapolsky.html
The option of Spuistraat is very well located and cheap.

I think that's it!

Hi Marcio ...
I really need your help.
Come to Barcelona at the very end of November, but we make a stop for two days in Amsterdam ...
We arrived on 29/11 and I'm precisadíssima tips of where to stay (hotels prefer, but we need not luxury), with good location, and how to enjoy the city in a short time.
Another thing ... I know who's going to be cold this time, but how cold? becomes a stolen or city has its certain charm in the winter?
earned.
Ana Carolina
Come on!
First! The city has its charm but in winter, but some attractions open later and close earlier.
The good part is that there is no queue, no need to book the restaurants .....
But the temperature is already very low at this time of year. The business program's museums and indoor activities.
Hotel, if you like the Ibis which is next to Central Station is a good option. The daily average is 110 euros and that time may have some promotion.
Bjo and bon voyage!
Marcio,
I'll be traveling in Europe in January 2010, I am reserving three days to Amsterdam, but not yet found a nice hotel to stay, I'll be with my wife.
Could you give me a hint? Preferably a hotel that has Brazilian or Brazilians working, since my English is not very good.
My wife is afraid to stay in hotels that do not have private bathrooms, up 180.00 Eur one would be willing to pay for two nights. I would stay in Leidseplein if possible.
Oops.
That way he spoke http://www.hotelvanonna.nl/ is a good option.
There must be a Brazilian working 90 euros per night and is near the center.
Take a look! See if you attend! I remember that it is a simple hotel.
Abs!
Hi all, I am speaking directly to Amsterdam, and more than that, straight from my hotel I recommend 100%: it is called HOTEL ALP. The fourth and h small but new, clean, TV (free), cafe-the-morning show (with fruits, juices, breads, cakes, coffees, etc.), bathroom inside the room, change of linen / towels service wonderful, safe inside the room, free internet, great price (212 euros, including rate cards for me and my namo, or 106 w / each) ... well ... it's all good. Q Not to mention all the day leave a chocolate on top of our bed every once in a quarter qo eh clean. Walking up to take 10min to Anne Frank and about 20 until the center ... the streetcar (13) for almost opposite the hotel. It's worth! If something bad to tell, I can not say that he escaped the stairs inclinadissimas typical architecture of the city. (Alias, lack a post talking about the ladders Amsterdam ... lol ...) bjao!
PS: just to clarify, the price q I started referring to 3 h daily.
Thanks Michelle, very nice contribution!

Hi Marcio, I just know your blog. I found it very cool. I wish you would advise me on the following. We will be going to Paris in May 2010 - London, and we want to spend four nights in Amsterdam. How do you think would be more logical and less expensive: to go from Paris or London, once we arrive back in Paris and London? Another thing, what temperature should I expect in May? Need heating in hotels? Thank you for your help. Daisy - Recife
Hi Margaret,
May is a month to go to Amsterdam great. It is spring, the temperature is much more pleasant than the previous month. If you use the heat will be very little the night.
If you are obligatorily pass through London and Paris do not see the difference between reaching for one or the other. From Paris you can go by train to Amsterdam which can be an interesting difference to London. In just over three hours makes that path.
Be sure to visit the Keukenhof http://www.ajanelalaranja.com/2007/05/dica-da-holanda-keukenhof-o-parque-das.html

Marcio, Good morning
We will be in Amsterdam in May (5 nights). I would like to find a simple and CLEAN hotel, with breakfast and private bathroom, around 95 euros. We like to go out and come back late, so I think need a good location, close to the subway.
You advise a chat about the "Den Haag" and "Delft"? Is there a card for public transport and museums, similar to Paris? What is the cost / benefit?
Best wishes, John
Marcio
Found 2 hotels in Amsterdam (06/20/10 - 5noites) you would like your opinion or any colleague who know them:
a) Hotel Nadia: 70 euros per night, with breakfast, wifi, city tax and vat. Directed by Trip - Raadhuisstraat 51-1016 DD Amsterdam - http://www.nadia.nl/index.php
b) Sunhead of 1617 - Herengracht 152 1016 BN Amsterdam. I sent e-mail to request price of your stay. http://www.sunhead.com/contact.php
I confess I was surprised at the price of Hotel Nadia, confirmed via e-mail, since the site was simulated by Hotels.com (106 euros) and another, now do not remember, for 110 euros.
A big hug.
Hi Elsa, sorry for the delay. I was in Chile did not answer the emails and comments.
I advise doing the 2 day tours in Delft and Den Haag. The two cities are worth a visit and 3 days speeding and you can see everything in Amsterdam.
The museum card is an annual think not worth it for 5 days.
The transport, buy Estripencart (pronounced as if written for ease), they are multiple and cheaper than buying a ticket inside the tram and metro is valid for TBM.
Abs!
Hi Elsa,
The hotels are well located, but do not know personally.
I found a very cheap rate tbm is worth further research not to enter into stolen.
Abs!
Hi Marcio ...
My husband and I are planning to meet in Amsterdam in July. I've seen that in the hotle Van Onna vagas.Vamos still have to stay only a week and want to spend a day Paris.Quais hints to these "first-timers to Europe" that you could give us?
Oh, we're worshiping your blog.Parabéns!
Cybele and Reginald.
The hotel is simple but honest, so to speak. It is a cost-effective.
Now only one day in Paris. It is very expensive and the passage to it.
Give a thought better in this script!

Hello Marcio.
I'm going with a friend and want to rent a boat, you advise? Have any tips?
Congratulations on the blog.
Kisses,
Sabrina.
Hi Marcio,
I'll be in Van Onna, and, after asking about my reservation, I was told that my room is downstairs. Is that good or bad? surely be seen w / channel, right? window gives the room to where, then? I was afraid.
Eloah,
It is worth asking about the view and the windows, but the hotel Van Onna is just a little better than a hostel. For me a good cost-benefit ratio.
Bjo!
Hi Marcio. His blog is a treat! I'll go to Paris in September and spend two nights in Amsterdam. My question is regarding the location of hotels. I choose the Ibis, next to the station, or some in the museum quarter as Heemskerk? Thank you in advance.
Hi Anna, I like the Ibis next to the station is very good for those arriving by train at Central Station is easy to walk downtown.
Another cool thing is that it has many points of Tram there.
Since the hotels near the museums are better for those who are thinking of ballads.
Can you walk back to most of them.
Ah, if Ibis book, make the link here blog, please.
Bjo!
I'll be in Van Onna and would like to take the first Thalys to Brussels to 6:16 pm, I ask: How would you do, pick up or taxi to get from Tram
Thank you
Jorge Paulo
Hi Jorge,
Consult a day before the time of the Tram at the point. You can go quiet. Just go by taxi if you're not too bag or roll the Tram.
Abs!
Hi Marcio,
I was in the van Onna in April and really liked it. I was in the fourth terrorist, very quiet and clean. The hotel staff very friendly. Thanks for your tips.
Jorge, I took the tram (GVB) at the point close to the hotel, easy and cheap ... on the wall of the hotel has a table with all his schedule.
Thank Eloah.
Van Onna BBB remains an option.
Bjo!
Marcio
We stayed at the Hotel Van Onna because of their blog tip here is simple but the price is good. The location is good, hardly used tram for anything, just go to the Station Hotel. It has a bike rental shop near the hotel, a must ride a bike in Amsterdam.
I do not recommend the rooms are facing the channel, because the hotel is near the Presbyterian church, which has beautiful bells that play from 15 to 15 minutes, I had a sleepless night because of them.
The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Approved
Elsa
Hi Marcio. I was to return and post a comment about the Hotel Nadia in Amsterdam.
In the first 3 days we stayed in a small room, a little dark, but clean, good bed and facing the canal.
The hotel is at the intersection of Raadhuisstraat / Keizersgracht and the window overlooked the Church Westerkerk and 40m from the tram stop Westmarkt 13,14 and 17.
The bathroom was clean and a good shower. In 4/5o days were exchanged for room No. 4, much larger and more comfortable. Both rooms were quiet.
The breakfast is simple enough and well Gostosinho: juice, coffee, cappuccino, tea, cake, cheese, yogurt, bread, croissant, jam, nutella, butter, hot chocolate and various snacks.
The staff is very helpful and polite. They do everything to please you. For those who have no health problem I point out. Let me explain: it has a long and very steep stairs. As we only used it two times a day - was tranquilho (with feet on the back).
Qto the location I would say 10. In fact we only use path in the TRAM station / hotel / station. The great thing in Amsterdam is walking and cycling, anywhere. Another thing: please go to The Hague - sensational.
Marcio a hug and thanks.
Hi Elsa,
Glad you came back with a super detailed statement of the Hotel Nadia.
There are pictures? If you send me the ajanelalaranja@terra.com.br I do a post just from your statement.
Bjo and thank you!
Marcio
Hello Marcio! We will arrive on 16/9 in Amsterdam, from Berlin, and we will be staying at the Ibis Amsterdam Centre. We intend to take the train from airport to station Shiphol Centraal Station, which is only half side of hotel.Estamos unsure of taking the train because we can not more detailed information about this means of transportation and we are afraid to lose. It is easy to catch the train at the airport? There is some hint at some site that explains how we should proceed to take the train? I appreciate the help you can give us.
Hi Marcio,
I want to stay in a houseboat. I showed two companies but I'm lost relationship with the location of the boats. The ones I liked are: one in Aalsmeer is the Prinsengracht and the other one in a residential area near the Van Gogh museum.
What do you think?
Hi Sibele. Prinsengracht is well center. Since that is near the Van Gogh rather see the address to tell you more accurately.
Has already studied a houseboat to see if these are cool right?
Bjo!
Hi, I'm inclined to stay in that is near the Van Gogh museum. The company Blue Wave, which leases the houseboat (bluewavehouseboat.com) is well recognized with prizes and everything. Take a look and tell your opinion.
Hi Marcio,
I'm really in doubt of hotels, all seem to have the same pattern. I would appreciate your opinion, where would you?
1 - Hotel Van Onna - 90 euros the couple
2 - Hotel Hoksbergen - 85 euros the couple
3 - Acacia Hotel - 75 euros the couple
Van Onna might be interesting for the cost-benefit localiozacão +.
Abs!
Marcio, which tells me the Acostar Hotel. The staff of Tripadvisor rates well, but you know ... From a distance we always get worried!
Hi Andrew, I know personally the hotel. I took a look at the location and is a bit away, you will need Tram w / go downtown. For images of the site, the hotel seemed nice. It has its advantages do not get as close to the center.
Abs!
I looked on google maps and there showed me 1.1 km from Dam Square (I think there is a good reference center, right.) If it gives up even to walk, do not you think?
1.1 kms near and far right is Andrew! Can you make enough thing to walk into the day with good weather but in cold or rain and the night is half off.
The Dam is a great reference so!
Abs! then tell here if it was cool!
After spending two days in Holland, I'm coming here to make my impression of the hotel ... Next, I took very good time (without rain) these days. To arrive at the center was quiet and just walked on foot in Amsterdam, except for the arrival and departure to the airport.
The hotel is an excellent cost-benefit ratio, conformtável, clean and has two showers in the bathroom!
The only problem is that there is no lift, so if you stay on the fourth floor, as I will have to do to force up the bags. And the staircase is very steep. But overall, great hotel!
Thanks for coming back and tell us Andrew! The stairs of the Netherlands are like this everywhere and it is quite difficult to find lift.
Thanks!
Hello, I'm going to Amsterdam and booked the Hotel Mercure Arthur Frommer, however in doubt as to the location and whether it is safe to walk the night until centro.Agradeço some information.
Hi Carmen,
Sometimes Accor steps on the ball with these maps indicate that the hotel is in the city center.
This is another case that is not so. To reach the center, the Dam, for example, would have to go by tram or walk more than half an hour.

Thank you
Oi Neyara,
Abs!
Marcio
Oi Marcio,
O endereço é do Hotel é Provincialeweg 102 | 1506 MD Zaandam ( http://www.inntelhotelsamsterdamzaandam.nl/ )
Fora o valor dessas viagens.
It is. Very.

Oi Babi,
Pegue o número 5 e desça no ponto do Vondelpark.
Good luck!
1) Concious:
http://www.conscioushotels.com/hotelsVondelpark
2) Chic and basic:
http://www.chicandbasic.com/eng/hotel_amsterdam/
3) Hotel aalders:
http://www.hotelaalders.nl/en/
2) Chic and basic: Esse localização é ótima p/ o dia.

Vc saberia me dizer qual é??
Thank you.

Oi Renata,
O a sugestão é o Stayokay Vondelpark.
É no centro!
Manda bala!

Me ajuda??
Obrigada!
Regards,
Camila.
Hi Camila,
Bjo!
Ei Márcio,
Thanks for the tip!

- Houseboat under the Mill
Nieuwpoortkade 6, Bos en Lommer, 1055 RX Amsterdã
- A Bed & Breakfast Flynt
Eerste Helmersstraat 34, Oud-West, 1054 DH Amsterdã
Oi Vanessa,
