Berlin has an "island of museums". That's right, several museums together on an island. The island is part of the cultural patrimony of humanity by UNESCO and is being revitalized. How much in Berlin, the buildings were partially destroyed in World War II.
I was the only one, which is wonderful. It is Pergamon. This museum is a collection of classical antiquity with the great Pergamon Altar (pictured above) and the Gates of Miletus market. There are several parts of Babylon, including the fabulous Ishtar Gate (3/1 images) and a model that shows how it was Babylon. The visit is very worthwhile.
Other museums have collections of nineteenth-century art and archaeological treasures. Because of the restorations is good to know before if your "work" on display is preferred.
A good way to take a trip to the island of museums is to walk the boulevard Unter den Linden, the main Berlin. She's like the Champs Elysees of Berlin.

On the way, gives even to visit the German Historical Museum and see beautiful buildings. Why not take a peek at the Gendarmenmarkt square (see the square on the images above). Considered one of the finest squares in Europe, was originally created to be an open market. Today three beautiful buildings worth visiting: the Cathedral German, French cathedral and concert hall.

Awesome, I say!
Funny, that is beautiful and useful for everyone when they say no reports from Berlin. Beautiful mosaics!
