In the corner of Praia do Forte lies the Tamar project. An unforgettable experience for those who are traveling with. My daughter loves animals, so this was one of the major attractions that we in our turn we Resorts in Bahia .
Enjoy a visit to Praia do Forte centrinho and extend the ride to the Tamar. This time we took that we were at Iberostar , we took a taxi and spent the morning there.
The Tamar is a super cool job preservation of sea turtles (disseminating already been saved by Tamar more than 10 million of them)
In this space you can see the tanks and some species that are so accustomed to visitors, seem to make jokes. They do pose for a photograph. Moreover, some newly born turtles are here until 40 days before going to sea in a smaller tank. My daughter loved the little turtles and they are pretty even.
It also has a tank with sharks you can see a "cave" as my daughter said. It is an aquarium that lets you see the sharks up close. Another attraction is a tank diputada and interactive, where sea stars can be played.
The highlight is the release of sea turtles (they also call of hatching). It happens in some periods of the year, always in the evening. There is an area with eggs buried and protected and then they are born, tartaruginhas are taken to the sea. The day I went to did not release because the turtles did not come out of eggs ... a shame ...
At the end of the tour, there is a store with nice clothes, toys and other things that serve as good goodies or souvenirs of the trip. Prices are not abusive and you contribute to the Tamar.
Admission is $ 16 and you can come and go as many times as the day it is.

Great tip, it is worth visiting the super Tamar project in Praia do Forte. I remember I gave a chance to see turtles lay down their eggs on the beach when I was there.
Oh, how I miss the northeast of Brazil!
That's cool, even luck Barbara!
